MIDDLEFIELD, CT — A minor was rushed to the hospital by medical helicopter following an incident at Powder Ridge Mountain Park on Saturday night, according to the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company.
Firefighters, Hunter Ambulance, and a Middlesex Hospital paramedic responded after a report of a traumatic injury at 99 Powder Hill Road at 9:54 p.m.
A Lifestar helicopter was requested to respond as well.
Rescue personnel brought the patient, a minor, off the mountain. The patient had serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The medical helicopter transported the patient to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment.
